Comparison

"MaxPreps logs our stats for us now,
off the NFHS stream."

That is a real offer, and for the public record it is a good one. MaxPreps Advantage takes the film from the NFHS Network stream your school already runs, has people log the stats within 8 to 12 hours, and posts the box score where recruiters and reporters look. Strata is a different thing: the numbers during the game, on the bench, on the same record as the athlete's injury, training load and clearance. MaxPreps gives you Friday by Saturday morning. Strata gives you Friday on Friday, and keeps it next to the kid's knee.

Where MaxPreps is genuinely good

It is the public record of high school sports: rankings, leaders, athlete pages, the box score a reporter quotes and a recruiter checks. Advantage adds film pulled automatically from the NFHS stream, stats logged by their staff, stat-linked clips and basketball shot charts, with a free film library for every NFHS school. Keep posting to it.

Where the line falls

MaxPreps logs what happened, after it happened, for everyone to see. Strata shows the coach what is happening, while it is happening, for the people on the bench: the halftime shot chart, the lineup that is winning, the player who is on a minutes limit. Then the numbers land on the athlete's record, next to his readiness and his lifts. MaxPreps has no injury, no training load and no Athletic Trainer.

What each one costs

MaxPreps Advantage is $300 a team per season for football and $600 a team per season for every other sport, published October 2026. A school with one football team and fourteen other teams on Advantage is $8,700 a year. Strata is $5,000 a year for every team, every athlete and everything else on this page.

Row by row.

Two columns, two different jobs. The rows where MaxPreps wins are rows Strata does not compete in, on purpose.

When the Athletic Director says it

"Keep MaxPreps. It is the public record and the recruiters read it. MaxPreps gives you Friday by Saturday morning. Strata gives you Friday on Friday, on the bench, with the kid's injury status on the same screen, and then keeps the numbers on his record next to his training week. If a game only lives on MaxPreps, we import the sheet."

Day one, with MaxPreps on the wall.

1. Keep posting

The public pages, the rankings and the recruiter traffic do not change. Post your box scores to MaxPreps the way you always have.

2. Score live in Strata

A student scorer taps the game from the bench. The coach gets the halftime report and the shot chart; the scorer sees who is on a restriction before the sub goes in.

3. Import what you did not score

Drop a MaxPreps stats sheet in. The stats land on every player's card and in the season totals, and the athlete's record is complete without anyone typing a number twice.

The practical test.

Open MaxPreps at halftime and ask it where the other team is scoring from. Ask which lineup has outscored them. Ask whether your best shooter is cleared for the second half. Those are not features MaxPreps is missing. They are questions the public record was never built to answer, because it is written the next morning.
