Sole-source justification: Strata athletic medicine and performance platform

This letter is provided at the request of [District or School] to support a sole-source purchase of the Strata platform. Strata Strength LLC is the sole developer, publisher and seller of Strata. It is not sold through resellers or distributors, and no other vendor is authorized to license it.

Strata is a single system that combines the following functions on one athlete record, with each function reading the others. To the best of our knowledge no single competing product offers this combination; the alternatives are separate products for each function, bought separately, with no shared record between them.

1. An athletic training record (evaluations, treatments, rehabilitation, referrals, physician notes, validated outcome measures, and a concussion protocol tracked day by day with staged return to play), connected to
2. a strength and conditioning program (multi-week program builder, weight-room tablet station, testing day and leaderboards, bar-speed and force-plate data), so that an injury restriction recorded by the Athletic Trainer is already applied to that athlete's next session, connected to
3. nutrition and daily wellness (per-athlete fuel targets that change automatically when an athlete is injured, in a heavy training block, or on a game day; daily check-ins; training load; hydration), connected to
4. weather and environmental safety (automatic WBGT heat, lightning and air-quality monitoring documented against the roster it affects), and to
5. role-based visibility under which coaches see availability status only and clinical detail remains with the Athletic Trainer and physician, enforced in the database rather than the interface.

In addition, Strata provides measurement of bar speed, vertical jump, sprint splits and gait from a phone camera with no hardware purchase; a career-long record that follows the athlete across seasons and, where both schools use Strata, across schools; a documented value report of the services the Athletic Trainer rendered; and a single annual price for unlimited athletes and staff with no per-athlete fees, no hardware, and no setup cost.

The functions above are ordinarily obtained from at least three separate vendors (an athletic training records system, a weight-room programming application, and consumer nutrition applications purchased by families), none of which shares a record with the others, and none of which can answer a question that crosses them, such as what an athlete's training load was in the two weeks before an injury, or what that athlete's nutrition targets should be while restricted. Strata is, to our knowledge, the only product available to [District or School] that answers those questions from one record.

Strata is priced at a flat annual subscription per school. A written quote, the subscription agreement with its Data Protection Addendum, a completed W-9, a certificate of insurance, a security questionnaire and an accessibility statement are available to the district on request.
